Product Details
• DESCRIPTION:
The Parquet stitch is a gorgeous stitch which is also called the Primrose stitch. Rows of DC clusters alternate with rows of single crochets and chains to create a very distinctive texture. Feminine without being dainty or delicate, this pattern creates a beautiful and durable fabric.
• GAUGE & SIZING: Gauge (tension) isn’t very important in this project. For reference, my gauge is 6 groups of DC and 11 rows per 4". Play around with hook sizes until you find one that makes a fabric you like. This pattern is written to produce a washcloth that is roughly 8 inches by 7 inches.
• ABBREVIATIONS & STITCHES USED: ch = chain st = stitch sk = skip sp = space WS = Wrong Side SC = Single Crochet DC = Double Crochet 1 Group = 3 DC in same stitch * * = Repeat what is in asterisks the indicated number of times
• MATERIALS: About 60 yards of I Love This Cotton in Curry or any #4 cotton or cotton blend. A 4.0 mm (F) hook Tapestry needle for weaving in ends Stitch markers if desired.
