What you'll need
Product Details
Pebble Bay hat is worked top down in the round, on the wrong side. This means you will knit more than purl. More a men's hat in a plain yarn, this hat begs to be knit up in those special variegated skeins you weren't sure what to do with.
Use your choice of needles for the start, then switch to a 16" / 41 cm circular needle. You will increase with an easy alternative to M1. After reaching the number of stitches for your size and gauge, the hard part is done. You can knit until you have just enough yarn for the ribbing and bind off, or whatever length you want the hat. Sizes listed have up to 1 inch negative ease. The pattern is stretchy and can be adjusted to fit the way you want.
Lighter yarns can be used double. The variety of gauges mean you can work through your stash of special skeins. This works up really fast in the larger gauges.
Making a gift? 16" / 41 cm baby, child; 18" / 46 cm child to teenager; 20" / 51 cm small adult; 22" / 56 cm medium adult; 24" / 61 cm large
