Product Details
This exquisite lace shawl begins at the centre-top with a garter tab and works outwards to form a half-hexagon. Worked in two contrasting colours, the leaf lace flows into mesh openwork and back again, before finally finishing in a scalloped lace edging.
Blocked size is approximately 21” (53cm) deep at the centre, and the outer edge of each triangular section is approximately 39” (100cm). It is not vital to achieve the correct tension, although it can affect the yarn yardage needed. The sample is made with each lace leaf measuring 1.5” (4cm) across and 2” (5cm) high.
The shawl requires approximately 550 yards of the main colour and approximately 450 yards of the contrast colour. Alternatively, it can be made in one colour, requiring about 1100 yards of fingering weight yarn.
The lace and openwork are fully charted (charted only).
The pattern has been tested and professionally tech edited
