Product Details
Pipes is a bias knit garter stitch shawl that starts at the right tip and ends at the left edge. Two main color sections frame a striped “pipe” section. Ten of the pipes have extensions that connect them to the next pipe. Extensions are worked over four rows using intarsia for color changes. Careful color selection can highlight the pipes or the spaces between the pipes. This is where you can let your personality shine!
Gauge: 22 stitches/42 rows = 4˝/10 cm in garter stitch after blocking and relaxing.
Yarn: Madelinetosh Tosh Merino Light, 100%superwash merino, 420 yards [384 m] perskein, 1 skein Ink (MC), 1 skein Farmhouse White (CC), and small amounts of pipe colors C1-C11. Actual yardage used is approximately 390 yards [356.5 m] MC, 158 yards [145 m] CC, and the following pipe colors:

• 39 yards [36 m] each C3 and C4
