Product Details
This amazing looking tea cosy is great fun to knit. It is a variation on traditional entrelac knitting. Each three dimension triangle or peak is created by knitting two tiers of entrelac rectangles, either both leaning left leaning or both right leaning. To create the shaping a made the rectangles progressively smaller as they moved up to the top of the cosy. The embellishments are six stitch “I cords” worked in two colours and then formed into a giant abstract flower atop the cosy. The whole cosy is knitted on a set of four double pointed knitting needles and there is no sewing up. Don’t be put off because it looks a bit complicated once you get knitting you will realise it is really not too hard at all and grows very quickly.
