Product Details
The vibrant tones and metallic shimmer of the elegant Pooch Me Hame cross stitch pattern hides a little "surprise"... the text. This Jacobean-era inspired pattern is ideal if you love snark but can't display it at home because of children or parents who might get upset, as it doesn't resemble English at all. "Pooch me hame" is a Scottish insult, translating to "kiss my a$s." Of course for entertainment, you could create your own "family-safe" translation, like "I love my family".... This pattern features Japan Threads as well as beading for a touch of shimmer and shine. The pattern comes with a full black and white pattern and a full colour pattern. Model stitched over two on Zweigart 28ct Cashel linen (Antique White). A link to a tutorial for couching is included in the pattern. ADDITIONAL MATERIALS NEEDED: 1 spool each of Kreinik 002J (Japan Gold) #12 Braid and Kreinik 002J (Gold) Japan Thread #7, as well as one pack of Mill Hill 00557 (Old Gold) size #11 seed beads. You will also need sewing or embroidery threads that match the colour of the Kreinik threads for couching -- 865 Gutermann polyester sewing thread will work for the #12 Braid and the Japan Thread.
