Product Details
As a trained meteorologist, clouds have always fascinated me. Sometimes you get clouds very high up in the sky that look like popcorn, little bobbles of cloud. They can sometimes suggest that unsettled weather is on the way. One of the best things you learn as a weather girl is how to look at the sky and predict whether rain is coming in the next few hours.
This Popcorn Sky cushion cover popped into my head when I was looking at the sky. The bobbles formed by knitting with giant yarn reminded me of those little bobbles of cloud. It is a simple rectangle of knitting, using knit and purl stitches to create the front. The rest is made with fabric, and is preferably stitched using a sewing machine, although it can also be sewn by hand.
This is a knitting pattern for beginner knitters. You need to be able to cast on and cast off, knit and purl.
It knits up quickly because it uses giant yarn. The pattern includes detailed instructions with photographs. You can make the whole thing in a day!
