Product Details
These socks were created when I saw someone defending their thesis to get a PhD. This formal setting somehow set my creative mind at work and I doodled this design on some scrap paper during the break. The socks are top down and have lace and beads on the leg. The foot has an interesting ribbing detail that ensures a perfect fit.
The gauge for the socks is 9 stitches per inch and 11 rows per inch.
The pattern includes 2 sizes: S/M and M/L. Leg pattern is slightly different on M/L size to accommodate the bigger size and to keep the overal look intact. Sample shows a sock in size S/M.
Materials needed: • 2.5 mm (US 1,5) double point or circular needles • 420 meters (460 yards) of sock yarn • Cable needle • Tapestry needle • 10 grams of beads size 6/0 • Optional: Stitch markers
Sample was knit with Regia 4-fädig (420 meters (460 yards) per 100 grams) in color 1991. Sample has a 9” foot and is size S/M. and used 69 grams (290 meters/ 317 yards) or yarn. Beads used are 6
