Product Details
Protoceratops andrewsi has been found in Upper Cretaceous deposits (about 70 million years ago) from Mongolia. Related to the later Triceratops, the adults were about 6ft/1.8m long. Enough fossils of this little dinosaur have been found to show how hatchlings grew into adults. These models show the differing frill shapes that the animals are believed to have had as juveniles and adults, both male and female. This gives you Dad, Mum, Junior and Wee Lass.
This pattern gives you instruction for all four family members. You have the option of giving the youngsters a more dynamic pose using bent legs as shown for the juvenile female or you can use the straighter legs as shown for the juvenile male. Adding inserts worked on smaller gauge needles to the legs means these should stand up on their own!
