Product Details

When I first came across the lotus stitch I knew I had to make something with it. It's such a fun stitch to make and looks great. I really enjoy knitting shawls so the opportunity to combine the stitch with a shawl was too good to turn down.

Pushkar means lotus, the national flower of India and said to be the seat of Brahma. I learnt this at Birmingham’s Pushkar restaurant. The food was lovely, as were the cocktails. I had only just started working on this design at the time, and as it uses the lotus flower stitch, the name seemed fitting.
