Product Details
Sept. 2013 -I have decided to increase the yardage of yarn required, eventhough I used much less myself, many of those knitting this shawl seem to have needed more.
Nov. 2012 - jetzt auch auf deutsch!!! A neck-down triangular shawl that should appeal to anyone who likes geometry and symmetry.
You don’t have to be a mathematical genius to knit this, but when you get to the end you can dazzle your friends with how the simple construction of the shawl can be used to prove Pythagoras’ Theorem!! (The proof is included!)
The vertical and horizontal stripes are created automatically by the increases. It is simple and quick to knit with very easy-to-remember pattern repeats and a delightfully simple, yet very effective construction!
There is no long bind-off to worry about at the end, as the Edging of lacy eyelets is worked at right angles to the body of the shawl and binds off all the stitches as you go!
I used less than one skein of Zitron Filigran Lace. A suggested substitute is shown below.
