Product Details

I struggle with naming my patterns. When I had fnished knitting this I thought to myself ‘That’s rather nice!’, which for me is actually high praise, and so the name has stuck.

This sweater features deep columns of small cables and Japanese stitch patterns rather than traditional ribbing to make it stand out from the crowd.

Front, back, and sleeves are worked flat from the bottom up. The shoulders are joined with a 3-needle bind off. The body and sleeves are seamed. Stitches are picked up around the neck for the neckband, which is completed in the round.

Sample was made using Sugar Bush Yarns Bliss (70% extra fne superwash merino, 20% mulberry silk, 10% cashmere; 105 yards/96 m per 50 g) in colourway Autumn Leaves.
