You will need 1 skein in white and bright blue each, but of course you don't need a complete skein for every colour of the rainbow stripes – just have a look in your stash, you might come up with a few colours that make a beautiful rainbow. Or you use black&white, pastell colours for a unicorn or single colour for a horse or donkey.
