Product Details

I call these fingerless mittens, and their companion scarf and hat, “Riding the Rails” because these light and stretchy wrist-warmers are perfect to toss on for a walk along the train tracks just as the stars are coming out on a clear, chilly evening.

This pattern is for lightweight but warm fingerless gloves. The pattern is designed to work perfectly with Lion Brand Wool-Ease worsted-weight yarn, which gives a super-soft, lightweight feel with the warmth of wool and washability of acrylic.

You can make these hats with whatever worsted or aran-weight yarn you'd like, but the measurements may come out slightly different.

Size: Adult One-Size-Fits-Most with instructions for modifying to fit.

Time to Complete: 1 - 3 hours per mitt (depending on experience)

Yarn needed: 1 skein of Lion Brand Wool-Ease worsted-weight is enough for two pairs of mitts (about 50 yards per mitt).

Stitches Used: Chain, Slip Stitch, Single Crochet, Double Crochet, Decreases
