Product Details
The Rise from the Ashes Cowl pays tribute to Chicago's history of resiliency and tenacity, a dynamic city rising from the ashes of the Great Chicago Fire.
Mosaic stitches worked in the round create a grid that shifts from main color to contrast color and back again. Pair a solid with a highly contrasting tonal colorway for maximum impact. The pattern includes instructions for working with up to 5 contrast colors.
Only one color is worked at a time, making it an ideal project for the knitter who would like to explore working with multiple colors.
The featured cowl was designed and knit in Chicago with a limited edition colorway that was designed and hand-dyed in Chicago by Windy Knitty and Lorna's Laces. The design debuted at Vogue Knitting Live Chicago in 2014.
Recommendation: Main color = solid, Contrast color = multi. Pattern works best with a strong contrast between the two colorways.
