Product Details

ROWALLAN is cozy, cabley dream of a shawl. It’s worked from the top down in stockinette stitch with gradually increasing cables. The increases are worked the same as for a full circle pi shawl, but the cables scrunch up the fabric in a lovely way so that the resulting shape is a semi-circle. The lower edge is gently ruffled from the last row of cable crosses, and finished with a tidy I-cord bind off.

Instructions for continuing the shawl for a larger piece are included. Technical Editing by Laura Cameron.

Yarn DK weight yarn, approx 1265 yds / 1156 m » Shown in: Handmaiden Cashmere 4 Ply (100% cashmere; 186 yds / 170 m per 1.75 oz / 50g skein), 7 skeins in Plum

Needles and Notions » 4 mm / US 6 circular needles, 40” / 100 cm or longer » cable needle (I suggest a small size double pointed needle for this purpose) » tapestry needle
