The poncho is worked with two, fingering yarns, an acrylic-metallic blend yarn which gives a beautiful shimmer to the fabric and a fabulous mohair yarn, that adds tender warmth. Mohair is awesome to work with in crochet, for its airy lightness and the special look it gives to stitches. Mohair’s fuzz mutes stitch definition, but if you play with different lace patterns, you’ll find that large-scale patterns remain visible yet softened in a very attractive way.
