Product Details
These Sea Babies have big eyes and expressive faces. Suspended on a mobile, they give the illusion of bobbing about under water; the movement will fascinate baby as they float about above them, and the bright tropical colours brighten up the nursery. Try inserting small bells into each animal to give baby a musical treat, too! Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the toys are knitted on a pair of single pointed needles (not in the round). A third needle is needed for the clown fish pattern which incorporates a three-needle bind off. Each toy (clownfish, crab, octopus and starfish) is worked in acrylic DK yarns. An embroidery hoop is used to make the mobile, which is a cheap alternative to mobile making kits, and the toys are suspended on single crochet chains. For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, increases and decreases, knitting stripes, and seaming to finish.
