About the Design: The slip stitch pattern is an easy way to create the look of a stranded color pattern, without ever needing to carry two yarns. The samples are all worked in bulky to slightly super bulky weight wool and (natural fiber) wool blend yarns, for quick knitting. I used a variety of yarns within each hat and mitt – a great way to use up small amounts from your stash
Yarns used include Lana Grande, Lanaloft worsted (doubled), Eco+ (doubled), Lamb's Pride Bulky, Nature Spun Chunky, and bulky wt. Falkland handspun.
I would recommend Lamb's Pride Bulky or Lanaloft Bulky, as an ideal yarn thickness, and both come in a wide array of colors!
Gauge: 14 sts & 24 rnds = 4” (10 cm) over patt with size 11 ndls, and16 sts & 28 rnds = 4” over patt with size 10 ndls or size to give gauge. To save time, take time to check gauge.
