Yarn over increases
This shawl is knitted from the bottom up, using a simple two-row repeat featuring yarn over increases. The pattern makes the most of a variegated or striping wool.
It's easy to adjust this shawl - simply get additional yarn and keep working the shawl pattern (2-row repeat).
4ply weight yarn:

Needles: 3.75mm (US 5) – 80 cm (32 in) circular
Gauge (given after blocking):
• 24 sts and 35 rows per 10 cm (4 in) over Stocking st on 3.75mm needles, using 4ply
Finished Measurements:
• 40.5 cm (16 in) from centre point to top edge
• 132 cm (52 in) wide across top edge
