Sibirica fingerless mittens are embellished with cable pattern, which can be worked either from charts or from written descriptions.
Finished measurements S/M and M/L – to fit palm circumference 6.5–7”/16.5–18 cm and 7–8”/18–20 cm respectively 13.5”/34 cm long. Measurements are taken after blocking. Shown in size S/M.
Yarn Approximately 220 yds/201 m of sport weight yarn 1 skein of Primo Sport (75% Superwash Merino, 20% Cashmere, 5% Nylon; 275 yds/251 m in 100 gr); Hill Valley.
Needles Size US 2 (2.75 mm) and size US 3 (3.25 mm) circular (circ) needles 40”/100 cm long for Magic Loop (see Special Techniques, page 5). Double pointed needles (dpns) may be substituted, if preferred.
Additional tools Stitch markers (m), cable needle (cn), tapestry needle, waste yarn.
Gauge 26 sts x 38 rounds = 4”/10 cm on size US 3 (3.25 mm) needles in Stockinette st after blocking.
