Product Details
This is a PDF knitting pattern for a long-sleeved and short-sleeved simple cardigan and matching hat to fit 18 inch dolls similar to American Girl® dolls.
PATTERN DETAILS: The sweater has raglan sleeves and a buttoned front opening. Using seamless top down construction, the sweater is knit flat back and forth with both knit and purl rows from the neck down. The sleeves are placed on scrap yarn or holders in order to complete the body. The sleeve stitches are then transferred back to the needles and additional stitches are picked up from the underarm. The sleeves are knit in the round using either double pointed needles or magic loop technique on circular needles. The hat is knitted in the round from the brim to the top and finished off with an i-cord loop. Garter stitch is used around the hat band, the sweater bottom and the sleeve cuffs and on both sides of the button band.
