Flat cap has picot edging, hem, mesh sides and top, and double brim. Brim is self supporting - no cardboard or plastic. Size: Adult medium; size can be adjusted by moving up or down a needle size, or by adding elastic inside the hem. A challenging pattern for the adventurous knitter.
NEW - now included for download is a 21 page, 84 color photograph notated tutorial for knitting the Inishmore Cap, which uses the same construction as the Siobhan, but has a smooth stockinette texture. Contact me at woolybearhandknits@yahoo.com after purchasing the pattern if you would like this.
The brim's structural integrity comes from the recommended cast on, the tight gauge, shaping, and leaving the wraps in place unless otherwise specified.
