Snow Blossom is a quick-to-knit hat featuring a simple Fair Isle flower border. Originally designed as a baby hat for my youngest daughter Emma, the pattern evolved to include five sizes: baby, toddler, child, women's small and women's large. The straight-forward decreases and narrow Fair Isle border make this a great pattern for those trying their hands at stranded knitting for the first time. Snow Blossom is knit a sport-weight yarn. The hat is knit from the brim up on a circular needle, with double pointed needles used when decreasing to shape the top.
SIZE: Baby (Toddler, Child) (Women's Small, Women's Large).
To fit a head circumference of 14 (16, 18) (between 19-20.5 inches, between 20.5-22) inches.
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: The ribbed brim measures 13.5 (15, 17) (18.5, 20) inches, but can stretch up to another 2 inches.
GAUGE: 18 sts/26 rows = 4 x 4 inches or 10 x 10cm in stockinette stitch.
