Product Details
Snow Flurries & Flakes Hat is a mixture of different sized snowflake designs amongst flurries of snow. This is the perfect pattern to try out stranded knitting with 2 colours.
Size: One size, to fit a medium adult head of 58 - 60cm/23 - 23.5 inches circumference.
Yarn: You will need 2 balls of a main colour and 1 ball of white. 8 ply/DK/light, 50gm balls of merino wool. I often use Debbie Bliss Rialto DK. Length of yarn is usually between 102 - 105 metres/111 - 114 yards per ball. Any wool of the same guage will be fine.
Suggested Needles: 3.25mm/US 3 DPNs, OR 3.25mm/US 3 circular needle for casting on & knitting rib. 4mm/US 6 circular needle for hat body. 4mm/US 6 DPNs for shaping the crown.
Techniques: Knitting in the round, knit & purl stitches, decreasing, catching floats, weaving.
Notions: Stitch marker, tapestry needle.
