I’m a big lover of variegated yarn, but sometimes it can be challenging to use it for members of your entire family. This pattern finds a way to highlight the beautiful colour changes in variegated yarn, by teaming it with a more neutral solid colour.
Construction This close fit beanie is constructed from the brim upwards, and is knit in the round. It features very basic stranded colourwork, that will work well with a solid main colour, and solid, semisolid, or variegated contrast colour. 'Speckles - Fingering' is designed to be knit with 4ply/fingering weight yarn (350-450m/100g), and is written for 9 sizes (newborn to adult)
