Product Details
Reminiscent of little lines of water droplets the spots on this hat gradually decrease upwards until the crown is reached and the little spots are replaced by a big one! A simple design with some challenge, it’s a good way to make progress on your knitting adventure. The spots are created by the use of slip stitches so that although you will knit with 2 colours you will only ever use one colour at a time.
It is modelled in the photo by my 13 year old daughter but also comfortably fits myself and my husband ( my 10 year old son can just about get away with it too!) It really is one for the whole family.
I was able to knit the whole hat with the 40 cm needles but it did require some persuasion of the yarn along the needle to do so. You may prefer to use dpn’s or a longer cable and magic loop as you work the decrease rows. Its knit in DK weight and is really cosy and snuggly.
My sample used less than 50g of each skein.
