The Spring Blossom Blanket was designed for a CAL. The name Spring Blossom comes from the scattering of pale colours, some of a floral design, over the whole blanket. The blanket has 4 different hexagonal motifs made in a 9 by 9 configuration, and because I prefer a straight edge along the top and bottom of my blanket, I have added 8 half hexagons. The finished size, including border, is 165cm by 150cm. As this is a motif blanket, you can use any yarn provided you use a suitable hook size. But I recommend you use the same weight of yarn throughout. Suggested quantities for DK yarn are included.
The pattern includes details of my layout but you do not have to follow my layout or make all the styles of motif. In fact, if you don’t like one style just swap it with another. I want you to have a blanket that you love and which is truly yours.
The sample used Stylecraft Malabar Aran but this is now discontinued, so the pattern has been adapted for 2 alternative yarns.
