Spring into Summer, Fall into Winter Shawl

I love simplicity. And sometimes when you sit down to a crochet project, all you really want to do is relax with something simple. This shawl is the perfect project for days when your ultimate crochet goal is to relax and unwind. A simple pattern which works up quickly with a 1 row repeat, this shawl was originally meant as a spring summer cover up, however it's versatility as a scarf became apparent during the testing period, hence it’s (rather elongated!) title!

This pattern uses US Terminolog y and uses only double crochet stitches, making it a perfect pattern for beginners. Knowledge of the foundation single crochet stitch or chain and single crochet stitch is also required. This shawl works up beautifully in Paintbox Yarns Simply DK. A 6.5mm hook is recommended for this project however if you do not have one available, you may substitute with a size larger (which will give more drape) or a size smaller (which will give a firmer finish).
