Legends of Rock pattern #1 - inspired by Eric Clapton and Gary Moore
What happens when you are browsing through your haul from a fiber festival while listening to your favorite guitarist? You get this scrumptious shawlette! I paired a semi-solid hand dyed sock yarn with a guitar pick inspired border to create this easy crescent shaped piece that is as deep and flowing as one of Eric Clapton’s guitar solos. It is an ideal pattern if you want to learn simple lace techniques, or for TV knitting for more advanced crafters.
The shawlette is knit from the bottom up. Both the border and body are in garter stitch. The crescent is formed by knitting the body in short rows, using decreases to bridge the turning points, so there are no wrapped stitches to deal with.
The border pattern is both written and charted.
