Product Details
Knit long strips, attach them together ― they match! ― and here is a cosy and pretty blanket...
The blanket is composed of long strips knitted individually and sewn together. Magically, the stripes in the strips match horizontally, while letting the colours flow at different pace along each (and within some) of the strips.
Size: Knitted in the recommended yarn at the correct tension, this blanket fits comfortably a single / twin size bed: approximately 1.40 m x 2.00 m (55 in x 80 in).
Yarn requirement: Sample shown uses three yarns:
- (MC1): 15 x 50 g Noro Silk Garden in Shade 230 (1500 m / 1640 yds)
- (MC2): 1600 m / 1750 yds of a rustic Aran weight yarn. 100% wool, woolen-spun for a warmer blanket. Yarn in picture comes from a little flock of Solognot sheep (French breed, producing a rustic oatmeal/fawn fleece)
- (CC): 150 m / 164 yds of a rustic Aran weight yarn. Shown in brown yarn, mix of fibre from Solognot and Mouton Noir du Velay (French breeds of rustic sheep)
You may replace MC2 and CC with any Aran weight yarn of similar weight as the Noro.
