Product Details

Strrripes is constructed on the Ziggurat principle. I can't imagine knitting any other way. For the moment.

This is a tailored cardigan with some waist shaping & a relaxed fit. Everything is knit in one go with no seaming & only a few ends to weave in when you're done. The set-in sleeves are knit in the round from cap to cuff.

The instructions are very detailed as that's the only way to get the stripes to work & to achieve symmetry while Ziggurating down with tailored shoulders & minimal yarn ends.

The collar & frontbands are worked all-in-one from the top also – simple intarsia is involved here. Very simple. You could add the collar & front bands last if you wanted. I just like being done when I'm done.

There are tutorials for the general Ziggurat Tricnique, how to knit-on the neckband, crochet-cast-on, jogging the round on the sleeves. And so on.
