The Summer Sampler Tote Bag is a pretty crochet bag that works up fairly quick. The variety of stitches will keep you engaged--no project boredom! It is designed for fingering or sport weight cotton yarn, as cotton won't stretch out like other fibers. Gauge is more of a suggestion than a rule; you can use DK or worsted weight yarn with a larger hook size, just keep in mind it will alter the size of the bag a bit. With its rectangular shape, adding a lining is an easy option.
