Product Details
Sunflower of Hope is a fingering/sock-weight crescent-shaped shawl that was inspired by the special colorway "Sunflower" by Carla Hanson of Purple Lamb Fiber Arts. Carla designed the Sunflower colorway in solidarity with Ukraine, inspired by their national flower, and the sunflower shape is evoked by the simple lace stitch patterns and border of the shawl.
Also in solidarity with the people of Ukraine, 25% of pattern sales will be donated to Nova Ukraine, which provides humanitarian aid to Ukrainians displaced by war.
This pattern has been tech edited and test knitted.
Difficulty: Advanced beginner. The instructions are fully written out, not charted; they have very short repeats. There are detailed pictures of each stitch pattern. Stitches used: k2tog, p2tog, yarn over, slipped stitches, kfb, pfb.
