Tea Cosy - Mountain Devil Flower( Lambertia Formosa plant and flower )

I’ve designed this tea cosy and added a mountain devil flower as a memory of the mountain devil stick figures made from the seeds ( shaped like devil's heads ) of the Lambertia Formosa plant , pipe cleaners and tulle when I visited the Blue Mountains NSW Australia as a child . We still see the flowers there in the wild as well as in our own garden on the south coast of New South Wales .

The plant was named after Aylmer Lambert a British botanist who was a founding member of the Linnaean Society . He was a member of the Royal Society and made a member of its council by Joseph Banks . He took great interest in the botanical and zoological discoveries being brought back from here ( in Australia ) to London in the 18th and 19 th centuries .

You’ll need a crochet hook , a circular needle , two DPNS and a set of straight needles size 4.50 mm to make this seamless Tea Cosy for a medium or large teapot . Crochet terms are UK .
