This is a diagonally worked Irish Moss stitch pattern. It is the first in a series of dishcloths I am designing to honor and name after the women in my family. This is for my niece, Emily. You may use whatever worsted weight cotton yarn you prefer....the pattern work with needles sizes 4 - 8 US sizes...I prefer size 6 as it isn't too tight, but not super loose either. It really depends on your personal preference. I recommend blocking the final product if you want it to form a true square.
