I’m beginning to learn that I like to have a bit of a uniform, and that’s a pair of high waisted jeans and a cropped jumper, and this chunky number is the perfect addition.
The idea for this sweater was something that you could just throw on with total ease. It’s loose, it’s comfortable, and it’s got enough shaping to make it flattering without making it too complicated.
I really hope this pattern is one that beginner knitters can use to learn some skills beyond the straight back and forth of a scarf. It’s got some simple decreasing, which is easy to learn to do, and makes the world of difference to the fit.
Plus, it’s knit in chunky yarn so it works up quickly enough to be satisfying, which is good because you’ll want to wear it, like, now!
