Product Details
Worked in the round and bottom up, this tunic has a stitch pattern with a slimming vertical line. The sample garment was knit in bamboo. Bamboo yarn has a silky lustre, it breathes and is cool to the touch. It is a perfect choice for summer garments. The pattern notes provide details for working with the special properties of bamboo yarn.
Bamboo yarns have a tendency to split more easily than other yarns. Choose a needle with a dull point to counteract the nature of the yarn. Less slippery needles made of wood or bamboo are recommended when working with this fibre.
The size numbers are the finished measurement of each garment. Bamboo creates a fabric with a large amount of drape. Zero to minimal ease is required when choosing a size to knit. Bamboo is known for its "drop". The fabric grows longer once it is worn. Swatching does not give an accurate assessment of the final length unless a large swatch is created and hung with additional weight. Stitch gauge is accurate after bloc
