Product Details
A yarn-held-double sock knitting pattern, perfect for a quicker sock knitting project and for using most hand dyed sock yarns as well as commercial sock yarns.
Also a really great beginner intro to sock knitting. If you're looking for your first sock pattern, this is a good place to start.
But why held double?
I absolutely love sock yarn and knitting socks, however I have a short attention span so knitting a pair of socks can take me months. In order to keep justifying buying sock yarn, I started knitting socks using sock yarn held double. I use this pattern for any sock yarn that has about 400m in the skein. Keep buying that sock yarn!
Note you will have to split your yarn in half and hold it double. You can either wind off 50g, cut, then wind the two halves together, or you may have success winding the whole skein into a cake and using it from both ends. OR use two different yarns together. So many possibilities!
