My Queen of Hearts crown hat pattern has instructions in 4 sizes to suit everyone from baby/toddler to teen/adult. It is worked flat on two straight single point needles, finished with a stitched back seam and decorated with sew-on flat back acrylic jewels.
Instructions are given step by step and include explanatory photos to assist in completion. Approximate circumference measurements for each size: Baby/toddler 18 ins: 45 cms Child 21 ins: 53 cms Teen/adult (S): 22 ins: 56 cms Adult (M/L) 24 ins: 61cms.
All sizes can be made using less than 50g of DK yarn each for the main colour and the crown, plus oddments for the metallic & white edging. I have knitted my crowns using Stylecraft Special DK yarn, however the pattern is adaptable to suit most standard DK yarns of choice, should you wish to work from your stash. The difficulty level is intermediate, requiring knowledge of Knit & Purl sts, increasing, decreasing, picking up stitches.
