Thirty, Flirty and Thriving is a top down triangle shawl that features a garter tab cast-on and simple triangle shaping. This easy to memorize pattern is mainly stockinette stitch with garter bumps interspersed, these garter bumps turn into the base for your ruffle!
YARN 800 yards (732 meters) of fingering weight yarn for main color 250 yards (229 meters) of mohair for contrast color
NEEDLES US 5 (3.5 mm) with 32-inch (80 cm) circular or longer for main body US 8 (5.0 mm) with 32-inch (80 cm) circular or longer for ruffle
NOTIONS Tapestry needle
GAUGE 22 stitches and 34 rows = 4 inches (10 cm) in stockinette
Adjust needle size to obtain correct gauge if necessary!
