Product Details
An easy pattern to make both a scarflette or a cowl neckwarmer. Using multipes of 3 stitches it is mainly in all-knit garter stitch with a simple 3 x 3 cabled plait offset along it's length. A very simple buttonhole completes the project.
This would be a good one for beginners learning to do cabling. Yarns can be anything you like from 10 ply/ worsted to 12 ply/ Aran or bulky. It's very quick to make and the 8 row pattern is very easy to learn – good car knitting as long as you don't drop the cable needle down the side of the seat... Have fun!
FYI – you will need: Scarflette: 10 ply /worsted or 12 ply/ Aran yarn x 170 m/ 185 yds - 180 m/195 yds (sample used 70 gms of 10 ply Sean Sheep Rockbank ) 1 large button approx 2 cms diameter Cowl: 10 ply /worsted or 12 ply/ Aran yarn x 100 m/ 110 yds - 110m/ 120 yds (sample used 75 gms of 12 ply Moda Vera Harmony) 3 large buttons approx 2 cms diameter
