Product Details

This free pattern was created to commemorate the arrival of a baby princess on 2nd May 2015. She has been named Charlotte Elizabeth Diana. Congratulations to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge who now have a sweet baby daughter and Prince George who has a little sister.

The tiny baby measures just 5cm (2in) and the basket is 9cm (3½in). A perfect keepsake to commemorate the birth of a new baby and the perfect size to sit on top of a Christening cake.

Materials required:

Pair of 2.75mm needles (US 2).

Double knitting yarn (or 4ply) in following colours.

Beige for basket.

White for baby.

Pink for blanket and pillow.

Flesh colour for face.

Small amount of stuffing.

Brown sewing thread (or single strand of embroidery floss) for eyes.

If you prefer to use a light worsted yarn then use needles one size larger than recommended and remember, the baby and crib will be slightly larger than this one.
