The description includes description both for Aran weight yarn and DK weight yarn. Both descriptions has 4 sizes included and has written instructions row by row. It is knitted in one piece, back and forth. I would recommend circular needles, due to the size of the blanket.
It only has knit and purl stitches and an optional slip stitch for the edge. The pattern has links and photo tutorials showing how to make the neat end.
