Product Details
Fingerless mittens with many cables, perfect mitts to match Totally Cabled Hat. Mittens knitted from the top down. You’ll cast on almost at the tip of a pinky finger and finish at the cuff.
Skills: You’ll need to know how to knit in a round. The pattern doesn’t specify how to divide stitches between needles for knitting in the round. You’ll choose your preferable needles (4 dpns, 5 dpns or circular) and divide stitches as you usually do for this type of knitting.
You’ll need to know how to knit, knit through back loop, purl, do simple decreases, do cables.
Materials: 120 yds (110 m) of DK or light worsted weight yarn
Needles size US 6 (4 mm) choose your preferable type of needles: double pointed needles (4 or 5) or circular needles for magic loop method. You’ll need cable needle if you prefer to do cables with it, tapestry needle.
Gauge: 26 sts and 30 rows = 4” (10 cm) in cable stitch pattern in the round
