This is an easy and quick slouchy hat knit using mosaic colorwork. Mosaic is a simple technique where you only use one color each round, perfect for a first colorwork project.
The pattern includes both charted and written directions.

The Inspiration I designed and knit the first version of this hat for a challenge in Nerd Wars in June 2012. The challenge was to knit something inspired by that month's transit of Venus, when the planet Venus passed in front of the sun.
