Product Details

This is a pattern for a knit poncho that incorporates both a cable lace stitch and a little known lace-mesh stitch. It is knit from the bottom up on two circular needles.

The wonderful coloration is due to the fact that it was knitted with one of the Unique Sheep’s gradient yarns. This sample was made using their colorway Tress, however any sport weight or heavy fingering yarn will work well for this pattern, and both solid or gradient colors work well for this poncho.

There are instructions contained within the pattern for how to change colors when using gradient yarns, as well as how to finish the neckline with a crocheted edging, should you want to.

Skill level: Intermediate (assuming a decent working knowledge of cabling and lace knitting)

The stitches are both charted and written out line by line.

The finished size measures: 77 inches at the bottom, has a depth of 24 inches, and the finished neck measures 19 inches. One size fits most women from size 4 through size 14.
