Product Details
The instructions in this pattern are written for knitters who knit left-handed, that is, when they knit the stitches move from the right to left needle as they knit.
If you are a left-handed knitter who knits right-handed, that is your stitches move from the left to right needle, they you should purchase the standard pattern.
This cosy cowl is knitted in a chunky yarn that shows the texture of the twisted stitches beautifully. The cowl is knitted in the round with mock side seams, which avoid a jog in the stitch pattern. These ‘seams’ flow up from the rick-rack rib, through the Vikkel braid to the woven stitch pattern. The cowl is shaped by reducing the needle size and finished using a one-over-two cast-off, which minimises rolling of the edge.
Patterns for a matching hat, mittens and fingerless mittens are also available.
