Product Details
Bulky yarn and squishy cables make for cozy warm fingerless mitts, and they knit up fast! Learn some fun new knitting techniques as you whip up a pair of these modular mitts. There are two lengths, and the circumference is custom fit to your hand. While it was designed in bulky, the pattern also works well around aran weight, and there are notes included for making further size/weight modifications.
They are made with no sewn seams, each mitt worked continuously from beginning to end; the cable is worked sideways with no picked up stitches, using simple short rows (no wrapping) to join it to the adjacent sections. The hand is worked flat, then joined with a 3-needle bind-off, and the thumb is in the round. If you make the single-color version, you'll never break the yarn, so you'll only have two ends to weave in.
These mitts were designed to use up the leftover bulky yarn from the [What a Twist hat][1], which uses similar cables and techniques - the hat and mitts go perfectl
