Going “up north". That’s a common phrase here in Michigan. People head out for the weekends and over the holidays, jamming up the highway in an effort to get up north. How nice to get away from the crowds and stress of everyday life. This is the first of my “Michiganisms" socks. It’s cold up north now so I designed these boot socks with an extra long cuff which can, of course, be folded over(you know I like that!). They are also sized for men and would be perfect for hunting or ice fishing! I stuck the Windowpane heel in these and reinforced the inside so they have more of a cushion in the cold. They are a super quick knit and perfect for those leftovers of yarn we all have, at least I do!
Where is “up north" to you, where do you go to get away?
Thanks for looking at my project.
Must knit now,
Phyll
